The GENUIN-Philosophy

The recordings should be GENUIN - genuine, natural and authentic. The two Detmold sound engineers and founders, Holger Busse and Alfredo Lasheras Hakobian had this standard in mind already in 1998 when they made their first CD productions. And this remains true today: GENUIN stands for high-quality classical productions, good recording technology without compromise and a trusting, almost familiar atmosphere between artists and producers.

Then as now, there are two things especially which make an outstanding recording out of a successful interpretation.

First of all, there is the sound, the interplay between instruments, hall and recording technology. One can call GENUIN "audiophile" in the actual meaning of the word: audio-phile, that is, love of hearing, of natural, musical listening. To achieve this, our productions take place in selected concert halls and churches with high-quality mobile recording technology that captures the music with all its nuances and vitality. The idealism of the first years has been constantly maintained: everything is at the service of the artists and of the music. And each individual recording is produced with great care and love.

However, the atmosphere at the recording session is at least as important. The many artists who return time and again to GENUIN after their first CD have experienced this: the very special aura, the positive, creative atmosphere during the production. The GENUIN sound engineers repeatedly succeed in putting their artists in exactly the right mood in which they can concentrate completely on their instrument and their music. For it is only when microphones and recording have been completely forgotten that the music can return to the centre of attention - and there is precisely where the GENUIN secret lies.
