The Bolivian pianist José Navarro-Silberstein has performed in different countries in venues and festivals in Europe, the United States, and South America and at concert halls ranging from the Teatro Municipal Alberto Saavedra Pérez in his hometown of La Paz to the Musikverein in Vienna.

Since 2022 he has been a Talent Unlimited Artist in London. As a soloist, he has performed under the batons of Timothy Redmond, Markus L. Frank, Wojciech Rajski, and Andreas Penninger with orchestras such as the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, the La Paz Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta de Jóvenes Músicos Bolivianos, and Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

José Navarro Silberstein is a prizewinner of the Anton Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Düsseldorf, the Tbilisi International Piano Competition in Georgia, the International Competition “Young Academy Award” in Rome, and the Claudio Arrau International Piano Competition in Chile. He was a finalist at the Eppan Piano Academy and the 63rd Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition.

José Navarro Silberstein was mentored by Paul Badura-Skoda, from whom he acquired a particular interest in period instruments. He studied with Balázs Szokolay at the Franz Liszt University in Weimar and with Claudio Martínez Mehner at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Currently, he is taking part in the Artist Diploma program at the Royal College of Music in London under the guidance of Norma Fisher and Ian Jones.

He has received scholarships from the Royal College of Music, the Theo and Petra Lieven Foundation of Hamburg, the Fondation Clavarte in Bern, and the Elfrun Gabriel Foundation for Young Pianists.
