Michael Metzler is one of the leading percussionist of his generation. He has appeared in concerts internationally since 1997, has 120 CD productions in his discography and has featured in many radio production, staged works, and in film scores. In 2014 Michael Metzler performed at among others the Sydney Festival (Akademus.de), in Brazil (Elbipolis,com), and with the Freiburger Barockorchester, and has collaborated with choreographer Sasha Waltz, Cecilia Bartoli, the Bach Consort Vienna and the Hilliard Ensemble. Since 2001 Michael Metzler has studied historic bell and carillon founding and runs a small, high quality shop for bells, percussion and ethnic instruments in Berlin (www.glockenladen.de).
