She first began taking piano lessons at the age of six and when she was ten, her teacher in Simferopol, Lilia Russanowa, introduced her to the French tradition of saxophone playing. She subsequently studied at the Gnessin School in Moscow under Margarita Shaposhnikova and at the Cologne Musikhochschule under Daniel Gauthier as well as studying abroad in France under Claude Delangle in Paris and Jean-Denis Michat in Lyon. She is currently pursuing further studies in chamber music performance at the Musikhochschule in Hamburg under Niklas Schmidt.
