Aleksandra Mikulska, Piano

Aleksandra Mikulska is one of the leading exponents of a younger generation of exceptionally gifted pianists. She embodies to the highest degree those pianistic qualities called for by Frédéric Chopin: sensitivity, musical expressivity and immaculate, transparent technique.

Aleksandra Mikulska’s playing has won numerous international accolades, including the Special Prize for Best Female Polish Pianist at the XV International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Concert invitations have already taken Aleksandra Mikulska to venues such as the Vienna Musikverein, the Brucknerhaus in Linz, the Zurich Tonhalle, the Philharmonie in Essen, the Nikolaisaal in Potsdam, the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden, the Künstlerhaus in Munich and the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw.

She is also a regular guest at international festivals including MDR Musiksommer, the Liszt Festival Raiding, the Styriarte, the Bodenseefestival, the Usedom Music Festival, the Brandenburg Summer Concerts, the Murten Classics Festival, the Böblingen International Piano Festival, the Chopin Festival in Gaming, the Bayreuth Easter Festival and the Maulbronn Monastery Concerts.

After graduating from the University of Music in Karlsruhe, Aleksandra Mikulska pursued her training with masterstudies at the elite international piano academy “Incontri col maestro” in Imola, Italy, after which she took Arie Vardi’s masterclass at Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.

Aleksandra Mikulska weaves a unique, personal and highly distinctive style from the musical traditions of Poland, Germany and Italy. A particular focus of her music-making is the dissemination of works by the great composers of her Polish homeland. Aleksandra Mikulska is President of the Chopin Society of Germany.
