Paul Badura-Skoda To Perform a Piano Recital at the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie

20.1.2014: The pianist and conductor Paul Badura-Skoda will perform at the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie on 20 January 2014 at 8:00 PM. Works of Chopin and Schubert will be on the programme, including the Barcarolle of Chopin and the Piano Sonata, D 960 of Schubert.

Paul Badura-Skoda is considered one of the greatest pianists of our time. His career began in early 1947, when he won the first prize of the Austrian Music Competition. Already in 1949, the young artist's extraordinary talent attracted the attention of Wilhelm Furtwängler and Herbert von Karajan, who invited him to perform concerts, whereupon Badura-Skoda became famous practically overnight. Since then, Paul Badura-Skoda has remained a regular and celebrated guest of international music centres.

A double CD with works of Franz Schubert was released by GENUIN in January 2013.

Works of Frédéric Chopin can be found on the GENUIN CD Paul Badura-Skoda - A Musical Biography.
